Bed and Breakfast dream

When I was young I watched this show all the time. Its was hilarious and I really like Bob Newhart's dry sense of  humour.

Whil chaos abounded all around him he always kept his wit and humour..

I always thought that running a Inn or Bed and Breakfast would be petty awesome idea.

Here is a picture of the Inn used for the show...they probably didn't film there but you always got a shot of the outside. It is the Wayberry Inn in Vermont.http://www.vtliving.com/newhart/index.shtml
The other day I was looking at our local paper and saw an advert for a b&b apparently for sale in my area.
Well I just fell in love...

And have I have to own it...I just love it.

sorry the pictures are so small you can go on the website and see them bigger.

I have a million ideas but sadly no money..I did get a lottery ticket last nite hoping I would win..haha you never know
I have redecorated every room in my head already...
Would be awesome...but its nice to dream as well..

If I win the lottery I will let y'all know asap....after I see my real estate agent...and its only 449,000.00 which sounds like a lot but for what it is not really.
I could have  chickens there.
And my combination tea room and antique store.
And weddings oh that would be great.
K enough I am off to check those tickets..
Till next time,
Cheers Frances

My son's school woodworking project

My youngest son Aidan took woodworking and metal shop this semester in high school...Here is a plane he made in metal...he also made a weathervane but has not brought it home yet..
Here is a little table he made in woodshop
it is closed but when you open it you have a table and some where to put your drink
And here is the chair he made

I 'ts an awesome Muskoka Chair ....I just love it...one problem....he wants it for himself....crap.....
Anyhow I figured out that he can make me one...or two for mothers day...now wouldn't that be nice

Along with one of these tables he made....yes my own little builder of things...between him and Jay I am gonna be in woodworkers heaven...I got a million projects that they can make...And that makes me so happy.
Something kinda like this over my garage door would be nice....I am off to dream up some more projects for them both
Till next time Cheers Frances

Pandora

When I was in New York City in december I bought myself a silver Pandora Bracelet .
Last night I was at the Casino and came away with a few dollars so i thought now would be a good time to start my charm collection.
Always better with found money haha. I chose the bell with the pearl as I liked it and its was within my price range. This is not a very clear picture of it as I got it off the Pandora website and I should of just took a pic of mine..but oh well you get the idea.
The salesman said the bell is usually for a wedding but I just liked it and the dangle of the pearl. hopefully this will be the first of many Charms. Cheers till next time , Frances

My youngest daughter Jaclyn asked me what I wanted for Christmas? I told her I wanted a fly through  bird feeder. I even sent her some pictures to give her an idea of what I meant.
But I would prefer it if she made it herself or at least got help from her wonderful boyfriend ,,who by the way built my kitchen island.
She told me christmas morning that there was a delay in my gift but she would have it to me by dinner time that night..
When they arrived I went to the front door to greet them and she said mommy just go in the kitchen for a minute.
What she doesn't know is I caught a glimpse of something before I did and I was standing in the kitchen so happy saying OMG I love it.. And here it is...

And I do...love it that is.
It is truly awesome...I love love love it...When the spring comes I am going to put a post in my yard and put it on top..I hope the birds like it....I know them squirrels sure will haha. Thanks Jaclyn and Jay I love it...oh and Jay I have like a million things I would love you to build for me...so I will be buttering you up all winter...I see a picket fence in my future...Whoo Hoo love having a fine carpenter in the family...
Cheers till next time, Frances

The New Year

Here is our yearly family portrait taken on Christmas Day 2011.
It doesn't always happen on the 25th but this year was special as my oldest daughter and her family came home for Christmas.
And even though she never has actually lived in the house I am currently in....I have a feeling that where ever I am is "home" to her.
Here's to a new year ...I believe will be the best one yet..Cheers. Frances
